Living With Grief: Coping with Public Tragedy

WHYY's Caring Community coalition will host the Hospice Foundation of America's Tenth Annual National Bereavement Teleconference as part of an all-day Wider Horizons Forum examining ways that professionals can better understand and respond to the personal and community effects of public tragedy.

You have three ways to participate in this special event:

1. Attend the all-day Wider Horizons Forum at WHYY in Philadelphia, which includes the Hospice Foundation of America Teleconference. Simply download a brochure and mailable registration form or register online.

2. Attend the Hospice Foundation of America Teleconference at a convenient location near you. This teleconference is scheduled from 1:30-4:30pm EDT. Find a location in Pennsylvania, New Jersey or Delaware.

3. Participate in the full day event online, from your desk, via a live Webcast. You'll be able to listen to the Wider Horizons Forum, see the live teleconference, participate in a "live chat" with others in our online audience and view speakers' bios, resources and related content.

To receive the Webcast, follow these easy steps:

  • Pre-register here.
  • Make sure your computer is ready by using this easy wizard. If your computer doesn't hve the necessary software, you'll be able to download it free.
  • Before April 30th, you will be sent instructions via email on how to join the online event anytime from 8:30am to 4:30pm on Wed. April 30th.
  • Remember to visit and bookmark www.widerhorizons.org for information and resources on this event, webcast archives and future programs.
