Whipped Bakeshop offers cakes and cookies so exquisite that you won't be sure whether you'd rather frame them or devour them. This month's Art of Food segment goes inside the colorful kitchen at Whipped to learn about the artistry and the philosophy behind these extraordinary sweets. Whipped's owner, the pastry artist Zoë Lukas, demonstrates some of the techniques that she and her staff use to create their pastry designs. Zoë explains that she and her staff of unconventional bakers -- most were trained as artists, one as a biologist -- combine their diverse talents to transform familiar American treats into works of art that are as delicious as they are beautiful.
