Growing up Jaynel Hollis suffered from stomach and chest pains, nausea, headaches and fatigue. After being misdiagnosed a few times and trying different medication with no positive results, she finally diagnosed herself with Celiac Disease and with her doctor's help, confirmed her condition with a simple blood test. She took control of her health by eliminating wheat and gluten from her diet. Becoming more aware of how food can heal or hurt, Jaynel embarked on a wheat/gluten free and vegetarian diet, focusing mainly on whole raw living foods for nourishment. With her husband's assistance she created the Greenwood Kitchen.

A whole line of delicious snacks are hand made at her home in Lansdowne, PA. Jaynel will demonstrate her recipe for dehydrating spinach and kale and turning them into delicious chips. She'll also prepare healthy and nutritious granolas, macaroons and crisps that are all raw and vegan. Friday Arts visit the Martindale's Natural Market for a tasting of the delicious treats.
