Standard Definition (SD) pictures are similar to what you currently see on television, but higher quality. Because SD signals use less bandwidth than High Definition, it is possible to broadcast up to five separate programs at the same time!

From 3 AM to 7 PM weeknights and 3 AM to 5 PM weekends, WHYY will be showing a high-quality simulcast of TV12. Tune your DTV receiver to 12.1 (or 55.1 on some models) to watch it. Keep checking this page for updates about any expansion of this service.
