WHYY Digital
Datacasting in GED Training
PBS
has worked with several organizations to create a program
called Literacy
Link. It is designed to assist adult learners in passing
the GED exam
and developing skills for employment. The series consists
of over sixty half-hour video programs, workbooks with practice
exercises, and an interactive website. WHYY will be working
with the Workforce Investment Boards in Philadelphia
and surrounding counties to deliver this material by datacasting.
All the content of the Literacy Link program will be digitized
so students at the training centers will have the ability
to view it from a single computer interface.
Watch a short,
seven minute video about datacasting and this project in particular.
You need Real Player to view it.
