Rev. Larry Falcon on Chestnut Street in Southwest Philadelphia established the Covenant Community Church in 1970 as a ministry for neighborhood children. Falcon later formed the Toviah Thrift store to raise money to meet the various and sundry needs that arise when working with children. Since its inception, Covenant Community Church has grown in to a Jubilee school for students of pre-school age through the 6th grade. Founder Rev. Larry Falcon calls Covenant a biblically based progressive school. Here six teachers teach a student body of 50. Every Friday evening Falcon hosts a Jesus Club where young students come to sings hymns and read the word of God. |
