WHYY moves its Philadelphia studios and offices when Walter Annenberg donated WFIL studios at 46th and Market streets in West Philadelphia, the former home of American Bandstand and the first building designed specifically for television. One year later in 1965, WHYY becomes the first public television station in the U.S. to broadcast in color.
