Mercury Society membership begins with an annual contribution of $1,200 or more. You receive all the benefits of basic and Broadcast Circle membership, plus unique opportunities depending on your level of support.

Mercury Society levels of giving
Bronze Circle
Annual contribution of $1,200 to $2,499
All benefits of basic membership plus:
- Tickets to performances at area cultural organizations such as the Kimmel Center, the Academy of Music, and The Mann Center for Performing Arts.
- Opportunities to sit in the control room during broadcast tapings
- Invitation to the President's annual Valentine Day party at a private home
Silver Circle
Annual contribution of $2,500 to $4,999
All benefits listed above plus:
- "By Invitation Only" events—intimate, small–group evenings at area cultural organizations, private homes and restaurants
- "Guest Privileges"—opportunities to invite two friends to selected Mercury Society events
Gold Circle
Annual contribution of $5,000 to $9,999
All benefits listed above plus:
- An engraved paving stone carrying your personal message on WHYY's Members' Plaza
- On-air recognition
Platinum Circle
Annual contribution of $10,000 or more
All benefits listed above plus:
- A private dinner with a WHYY personality, such as Terry Gross or Marty Moss-Coane
- On-air recognition attached to a special program
