Foundation and Government Support

Because of the generosity of the many local, regional and national foundations that support us annually, WHYY has the resources to produce the programming that has made WHYY a familiar name in households across the nation. We depend on your support to produce Fresh Air with Terry Gross, Radio Times with Marty Moss-Coane, Sunday Showcase, A Chef's Table, You Bet Your Garden, as well as award-winning TV productions such as Denyce Graves: Breaking the Rules and Presidential Conversations on the Constitution. Foundation support also makes it possible for WHYY to bring you your favorite programs from around the country. Finally, foundations are some of our most valuable sources of funds for general operations, which ensure that we can maintain our cameras and other production equipment, pay our annual dues to National Public Radio and the Public Broadcasting System, and keep the lights on.

The Foundations and Institutions team at WHYY works closely with each grant-making organization to find the best balance of support for WHYY TV12, WHYY 91FM radio, WHYY.org, and community events both for your organization and for ours.
