Major JacksonMajor Jackson has garnered awards and recongitions from Breadloaf Writer's Conference, Concerto Soloist, MacDowell Artist Colony, National Performance Network, and Pew Charitable Trusts.His poetry has been published in American Poetry Review, Boulevard, Callaloo (as part of the prestigious Emerging Writers Issue), and Philadelphia Inquirer. From 1992-97, Major served as literary arts coordinator of the Painted Bride Art Center. Currently, he is curator-in-residence at the Mountain Writers Center in Portland, Oregon and a graduate teaching fellow at the University of Oregon. |
