The country is preparing for its new president and some area residents couldn't be happier. WHYY's Elizabeth Fiedler spoke with voters at a shopping plaza in North Philadelphia where just a few weeks ago President-elect Barack Obama rallied his supporters.

Many supporters of President-elect Barack Obama headed to Finnigan's Wake pub in Northern Liberties to watch the election results last night. The crowd included area Obama supporters, volunteers from across the country, and local elected officials. WHYY's Elizabeth Fiedler reports.

McCain PA campaign watches as state slips away

Despite millions of dollars spent on ads and multiple last minute visits to Pennsylvania, John McCain lost the state in his bid for the presidency. McCain supporters gathered last night in the suburbs, where they hoped to sway Democrats and Independent voters. WHYY's Susan Phillips reports.
