VOTER’S GUIDE FOR DELAWARE 2010 ELECTIONS
This voter’s guide is a tool to use in the hopes of becoming better informed about the candidates and their ideas for the upcoming election. WHYY has compiled biographies and issue statements on the candidates.
Voters will decide a replacement to fill the final 4 years of Joe Biden's U.S. Senate seat in Delaware. Christine O'Donnell defeated longtime incumbent Mike Castle and will face Chris Coons, the unopposed Democrat, in November. The winner of that contest will be sworn in immediately, replacing current U.S. Senator Ted Kaufman. Senator Kaufman was appointed by then Governor Ruth Ann Minner in January 2009.
There is an open seat for U.S. Congress from Delaware this year. Current Congressman Mike Castle is not seeking re-election and decided to run for the U.S. Senate. The winner of the September Primary, Glen Urquhart will face democrat John Carney and libertarian Brent Wangen in November.
The race for Attorney General features two candidates, Democrat
incumbent Beau Biden and Independent challenger Doug Campbell. WHYY has compiled a list of biographies and issues statements from the candidates who will face off on November 2nd.
New Castle County police spokesperson Trinidad
Navarro won the September primary and will face either Joseph O'Leary or
William Hart. WHYY has compiled a list of biographies and
issues statements, but was unable to contact candidate Hart.
