Most TV stations have news vans to get a camera to an event quickly to shoot a few minutes of video. WHYY has the Y Arts Van. Our crews arrive with four robotic cameras to record an entire evening of diverse musical performances for the weekly series On Canvas. We've presented Native American flute, opera, banjo, Taiko drumming and bluegrass cello. Your support keeps those cameras, technicians and producers capturing tunes all over the region. Now that's economy of scales.
Youth after-school programs are offered as a public service by WHYY at no charge to participants. Classes are filled on a first-come first-served basis.
