Welcome to WHYY Afterschool: A Youth Project of the Learning Lab at WHYY
The Afterschool program incorporates video production training, media literacy, and community activism, as students create videos on a topic important to them and their communities. Through the video production process, the youth learn to view media critically and develop the leadership, team-building, and creative skills needed for 21st-century success.

The kids, teen workers, and staff from The Boys and Girls Club of Camden County teamed up with The Learning Lab at WHYY to create a news video highlighting some of the best activities from the 2008-2009 year. The kids shortened the name of the video themselves from The Boys and Girls Club News to the much better sounding B.G.C. News!
