How could the Holocaust have occurred? How can stereotyping and prejudice lead to discrimination, violence, and genocide? Can individuals make a difference? How can we teach young people about the Holocaust? How can we answer the unanswerable? Lessons of the Holocaust reflect current concerns with violence, racism and propaganda, ethical aspects of science and government. This unique course/workshop will provide educators with significant background for discussing these questions and introduce them to classroom-tested teaching strategies, curricula and resources.
