Youth 2011  PUFFAThese PSAs were produced during a six-week internship by youth from the Philadelphia Urban Food and Fitness Alliance, or PUFFA. The PUFFA Youth combined everything they had learned in four-weeks of nutrition and healthy living education, to create short, engaging videos that would connect with their peers, explaining the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle. These videos will play on LCD monitors in school cafeterias all throughout the city for the 2011-2012 school year. Watch videos »  Episcopal Community Services 2011Following the successful completion of their documentary, Philly Love Disguised, youth from the Episcopal Community Services, in partnership with the Public Media Commons, spent the year creating a series of sketch-style, narrative videos, demonstrating their writing, acting, and producing abilities.  After SchoolStudents in the afterschool program produced documentaries about a range of topics including youth perspectives on adulthood, the role of arts education in schools, and how food trucks are being transformed by social media. At once thoughtful, creative, irreverent, these videos showcase what is on the minds of these youth.Watch videos » |
