Activities in Two Languagues: We are all the same and different Appreciating differences has always been a central goal of Sesame Street. Showing a variety of people living, working and playing together helps children understand that differences make life richer and more rewarding, and should be celebrated. The following activity will help children appreciate human diversity. SUPPLIES: Paper, washable markers or crayons Give your child some large sheets of paper and crayons or markers, and ask her to draw a portrait of all the people in her family, including herself. When she is finished drawing, encourage her to tell you about it - who the people are, what they are doing, what they look like, and so on.
