English:
Our friends at NODDY ask, "Can
you guess what is in the bag?"
Sometimes, children
need help asking questions to find or discover things that they
cannot see. With this activity, you can help your child feel more
comfortable with asking questions. In addition, this activity
will show children that things do not always seem as they appear.
What you'll need:
- a pillow case or shopping bag
- things that will fit into the bag (such as a small stuffed
animal, sock, baseball, etc.)
- Place an item into the bag without letting the child see
it.
- Have the child feel the object without looking into the bag.
- The child will then ask questions about the object that can
only be answered with "yes" or "no."
- Keep trying until the child guesses the object.
- This game can be played again and again, until the child
is better at asking questions.
