Support lifelong learning
WHYY Education may be best known for the 11-1/2 hours of children's programming it broadcasts weekdays on TV as well as weekend hours dedicated to children. But that is just the first step on the path to lifelong learning for those who watch. Through on-air programs, off-air outreach programs, live events, professional development opportunities, WHYY Education contributes to the healthy development and education of children, and acts as an educational partner to parents, childcare providers, and educators in the Delaware Valley.

View, Do, Read
This month marks the start of a brand new year. Normally, when people think of January, they think of their New Years Resolutions and often say to themselves “How can I make things better this year?” Some common answers to that question range from watching less television and reading more books, to learning something new.
WHYY I Like This Book
This initiative from WHYY and Verizon encourages students in kindergarten through twelfth grade to share their favorite book through an online questionnaire. If your application is selected, you could potentially appear on WHYY's television stations and web site sharing your favorite book with other students and viewers.
