Kick off the Connections Festival and the Labor Day weekend with a trip back in time as WHYY hosts a prohibition-themed Member reception prior to our FREE public screening of Ken Burns' latest documentary film, Prohibition. Open exclusively to WHYY Members, the prohibition-themed reception will feature an array of spirits compliments of Philadelphia Distilling Company, the first craft distillery in the state of Pennsylvania since the repeal of prohibition. Guests are invited to "dress-up" in prohibition-era clothing. Lynn Novick, co-director of Prohibition, as well as many other Ken Burns productions (Baseball, Frank Lloyd Wright, Jazz, The War) will be on hand, as well as some WHYY on-air personalities and special guests.

After enjoying WHYY's special preview screening of Ken Burns' Prohibition at the Great Plaza at Penn's Landing, take a quick walk up Columbus Boulevard to the Festival Pier at Penn's Landing for WHYY Presents: Manu Chao. This event is now FREE for WHYY members! Members can register for up to FOUR free tickets (each registration reserves one ticket - if you would like multiple tickets, please reserve up to four tickets under your name)! Non-members who make a $50 membership donation to WHYY, can also reserve four tickets!

If you are a member who already purchased tickets for the concert, thank you! Your tickets will be available at the ticket window the evening of the event. To thank you for purchasing your tickets through WHYY, we will also give you a bracelet that grants you access to the Festival Pier VIP area, and drink tickets! During Saturday's FREE public concert, you can relax, get out of the sun, meet performers and WHYY staffers and more in the WHYY Member Oasis Tent! Open to WHYY Members ONLY, the Oasis Tent will feature raffles, refreshments (while supplies last) and more fun ways to "connect" with fellow concert goers and WHYY! And the best part? Admission to the Oasis Tent is FREE for current WHYY Members and one guest. No need to register - only a valid WHYY Membership Card is required for admission. (Lost your card? WHYY Connections Festival After Party at Yards Brewing Company

Following the concert on Saturday, WHYY invites you to the official Connections Festival after-party at Yards Brewing Company. Entrance to the after-party is just $5 - payable at the door. Attendees will enjoy a live performance by Connections Festival openers Toy Soldiers. WHYY members who wear their member bracelet (distributed at the concert on Saturday) will receive complimentary tours of the brewery. The after-party will take place from 9:30 - 11:00 pm.
