Dr. Harold (Hal) Weaver
Hal Weaver is the Founding Chair of Africana Studies at Rutgers University and initiated the successful efforts to award Mr. Robeson an honorary doctorate for his 75th birthday in 1973. Now retired from teaching, in 1972 he became the first professor to offer a course on Paul Robeson. Hal is currently the Principal Curator for The ChinaFilm Project. He was interviewed in downtown Philadelphia.
