War Letters from American Experience

Debuts on Sunday, November 11 at 9pm
Re-broadcast on Friday, November 16 at 8pm

Based on the bestselling book "War Letters: Extraordinary Correspondence from American Wars" by Andrew Carroll. The program reveals newly uncovered personal correspondence, resurrecting the deepest, most human side of war. The letters are read by celebrities Esai Morales, Edward Norton, Kevin Spacey, Joan Allen and many others.

Spanning the history of the nation, from the American Revolution to the Gulf War, the one-hour film transcends the subject of war, exploring the love, passion, pain, horror, and hope that connects those who fought with those who waited at home.
