WHYY Presents Taste of The Book and The Cook on Tuesday, March 7, 2006 from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM at the Wyndham Philadelphia at Franklin Plaza (17th and Race Streets). This extraordinary sneak preview of dishes from the upcoming KitchenAid The Book and The Cook Restaurant Series brings together over 30 of your favorite restaurants. Each offers you a dish from the menu of their chef/cookbook author event planned for the ten-day The Book and The Cook (March 17 - 26, 2006).

You'll also enjoy the original recipes of the "final five" bartenders participating in The Book and The Cook Cocktail Classic presented by Vox Vodka. Expect sparks to fly!

The Book and The Cook model is simple: the world's greatest cookbook authors team with a favorite Philadelphia-area restaurant to create a special collaborative meal. In addition to dining from the special menu the host chef and guest author cook up, you'll have a chance to meet and chat with the author all in the company of dozens of patrons there for the same experience.

You'll have an opportunity to sample from more than half of them all on one incredible night March 7th, and for one great price.

Sample your way along a culinary tour of Philadelphia's finest restaurants and meet your favorite chefs. And enjoy the creations of Philly's five hottest mixologists - determined through a month-long series of "shake-offs" - in the final round of the Cocktail Classic. More information on the Cocktail Classic.

$45.00 per person ($35.00 for WHYY members) includes chic lounge and funk tunes, food samples, Da Vinci Wines, Juici Sparkling Beverages, Stella Artois Belgian Beer and original Vox Vodka cocktails. Proceeds benefit WHYY and the Center City Proprietors Foundation, producer of KitchenAid The Book and The Cook.
