Civic Space

View from Studio 1 Civic Space is a common ground, a public space for the sharing of ideas. It brings people from diverse communities together face-to-face, encouraging communication, the mutual exploration of ideas, problem solving and celebration. At WHYY, our off-air Civic Space events relate to, reinforce and expand on WHYY's on-air educational, arts and culture, and news and information, and workforce development programming.

Ci vic Space Arranged for LectureThe Independence Foundation Civic Space is a physical facility found in the heart of WHYY's Technology Center. Civic Space is also conceptual, taking place anywhere in the region where people come together - schools, museums, performance places, and many public arenas. And Civic Space is also virtual, accessed through the existing and new technologies of WHYY's website, multiple digital TV channels and radio signals.
