Amadou Diallo was 23 years old and a West African immigrant when he was shot by police in the vestibibule to his Bronx apartment building in 1999. Even though Diallo had done nothing wrong, the police officers were acquitted of the charges against them. On today's Radio Times, former reporter Craig Wolff recounts the death of Diallo and the ensuing trial. Then Kadiatou Diallo, Amadou's mother, talks about her son and her life. Her book, coauthored with Wolff, is called My Heart will Cross This Ocean.
