In the Spirit of Family Upcoming Events Families and Adoption: Panel Discussion and Information SessionWhen families make the decision to adopt a child, they are faced with a multitude of challenges and choices. What options do they have in terms of International or domestic adoption? Open or closed? Where can they go for help and support? Non-traditional families have to overcome additional obstacles in trying to adopt. The adopted child has to adjust to a new life and culture, as well as finding their place within the family structure. Moderated by psychologist Dr. Dan Gottlieb, host of Voices in the Family, this panel will offer guidance for families navigating the road to adoption and families who have adopted children. Panelists: Local adoption support services and experts in various areas of adoption will be available to answer questions and facilitate discussion.
