Healthy Role Model
Healthy News reporter Hanna and Nutritionist Rebecca Thomas of the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia discuss the importance of being a healthy role model. If you are a parent, it is important to instill good habits. Gathering the family together for daily exercise and preparing healthy meals and snacks is the first step in raising healthy and happy kids. Older siblings can also teach younger siblings healthy habits by playing together.



Here are some ways you can be a healthy role model:

  • Drink water instead of juices or sodas.
  • Drink milk for calcium. Calcium builds strong bones.
  • Fruits and Vegetables make great healthy snacks. The brighter the color the better. Eat your colors!
