WHYY's Children's Service

WHYY's Children's Service may be best known for the 11 1/2 hours of children's programming it broadcasts weekdays on TV12 as well as weekend hours dedicated to children. But that is just the first step on the path to lifelong learning for those who watch. Through on-air programs (TV12 and 91FM), off-air outreach programs, live events, professional development opportunities, and online services, the WHYY Children's Service contributes to the healthy development and education of children, and acts as an educational partner to parents, childcare providers, and educators in the Delaware Valley. WHYY Children's Service can be reached at childrensservice@whyy.org

Little Bites, Big Steps
Little Bites, Big Steps is designed for parents and educators who want to teach young children healthy eating habits from the beginning. Watch videos, take the Little Bites Quiz, and learn more about healthy eating.

Welcome to Healthy Kids News!
Healthy Kids News is brought to you by Independence Blue Cross and WHYY. The goal of Healthy Kids News is to talk to children and adults candidly about living healthy and being safe. Healthy Kids News interstitials air on WHYY, but you can see them here too!

Community Outreach Services

WHYY's Children's Service Outreach Workshops combines PBS children's television programs with accredited community-based workshops for parents, caregivers and early childhood educators. Schedule a workshop.

In The Spirit of Family is a series of quarterly panel discussions featuring Dr. Gottlieb of 91FM's Voices in the Family.
