WHYY’s Radio Times host, with senior producer Susan Greenbaum, is traveling to Grassau, Germany — meeting up with Philadelphia Orchestras Conductor Laureate Wolfgang Sawallisch. It's a rare opportunity to hear from Maestro Sawallisch at his home in the idyllic German countryside. And it's a Radio Times special for television in the making. The Munich-born Sawallisch began his career as the youngest person ever to conduct the Berlin Philharmonic. From 1993 through 2003 he was the Music Director of the Philadelphia Orchestra.
