Raising Our Voice

WHYY and TOVA: Artistic Projects for Social Change invite you to a preview screening and discussion of the film Raising Our Voice: Emerging From the Shadows of Domestic Abuse on Wednesday, May 5 at 6 p.m. in the WHYY Technology Center. Several of the film's cast members will perform, and Dr. Sandra L. Bloom, a psychiatrist and the CEO of Community Works, will lead a discussion about domestic abuse. The Art of the Folksong

Explore the world of American, English, Irish and Canadian folksongs with The Philadelphia Singers on Friday, May 7 at 8 p.m. at the Perelman Theater in the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts! Globalization: Making the Local Connection

WHYY is bringing together community members and local media professionals to discuss how national trade and economic issues are impacting the tri-state region during the Spring 2004 Preview Forum on Tuesday, May 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the WHYY Technology Center.
