WHYY Wider Horizons

The effects of Alzheimer's disease are devastating - on those who suffer from it, their loved ones and the professionals who care for them. WHYY Wider Horizons presents two events exploring this critical health care issue and offering support and resources.

Town Meeting: An Evening for Family Caregivers
Join other family caregivers on Monday, April 19 from 7 to 9 p.m. for a discussion with experts and the local caregivers featured in the WHYY program Circle of Love "Living With Alzheimer's" about the caregiving challenges this disease presents.

Living With Grief: Alzheimer's Disease
WHYY presents a forum and webcast for professionals formulated around the Hospice Foundation of America's 11th annual teleconference, for which WHYY serves as a host site, on Wednesday, April 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Experts will examine the clinical aspects of Alzheimer's and the challenges faced by patients and their caregivers.

For more information on these events and to reserve your spot, call (215) 351-0511 or visit widerhorizons.org.

Tune in to TV12 on Sunday, April 25 beginning at 1:30 p.m. for an afternoon of programming about aging and Alzheimer's disease, including a rebroadcast of WHYY's original first-person caregiving series Circle of Love.
