A look at what's new on TV12 in April
By Anna Christopher

Frontline "Ghosts of Rwanda"
Frontline marks the 10th anniversary of the 1994 Rwandan genocide -- a killing spree that resulted in the deaths of more than 800,000 people -- with this emotionally powerful two-hour documentary.

Tutsi survivors recount the horror of witnessing the murders of their families and friends at the hands of Hutu extremists; diplomats present on the scene explain how they struggled to convey the severity of what was happening to the rest of the world; and United Nations peacekeepers remember how they were ordered not to intervene. Through these accounts, Frontline illustrates the social, political and diplomatic failures that enabled such a catastrophic event to occur while the global community stood by.

Sesame Street Presents: The Street We Live On
Take a nostalgic journey through Sesame Street's most magical moments in this new primetime special marking the 35th anniversary of the popular series! When curious Elmo asks Grover to teach him more about his idyllic neighborhood, he is magically transported back in time to the Sesame Street that existed before he was born.

In these flashback moments, Elmo meets Mr. Hooper; witnesses Maria and Luis' wedding and the birth of their daughter Gabi; and learns about Gordon and Susan's adoption of Miles. The program ends with the entire cast singing a new composition called "The Street We Live On," and with Elmo's realization that, out on Sesame Street, a wonderful family awaits.

Prime Suspect 6: The Last Witness
After seven years and much anticipation, Emmy Award-winning actress Helen Mirren finally returns to the small screen as Detective Superintendent Jane Tennison.

In this new case, Tennison investigates the brutal torture and murder of a young Bosnian Muslim woman and learns -- the hard way -- that her determination to deliver justice for victims at all costs conflicts sharply with the politics of her new high-ranking position as overseer of all murder investigations at the London Metropolitan Police. Liam Cunningham, Robert Pugh and Mark Strong also star.
