Enjoy a little night music on TV12 this month

Summer and music go hand in hand, whether you're cruising around town, lounging on the beach or relaxing on the porch with friends. This month, TV12 creates its own summertime soundtrack with programs featuring popular artists and cool music to help you beat the heat.
Chicago in Concert: A Soundstage Special The rock 'n' roll group responsible for some of the most memorable songs in the past 30 years performs some of their biggest hits, including "Saturday in the Park," "Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?" and "Colour My World." They also showcase their unique sound on tunes from their new album "The Very Best of Chicago: Only the Beginning."

Roy Orbison and Friends: A Black and White Night In this unique 1988 concert program, filmed entirely in black and white, late rock 'n' roll legend Roy Orbison and special guest stars including Bruce Springsteen and Bonnie Raitt perform many of Orbison's greatest hits, including "Only the Lonely" and "Crying."
Wednesday, August 13 at 11 p.m.
Dusty Springfield: Reflections This program celebrates the timeless music of the late singer who was known for her soulful sound and includes rare footage of Springfield performing some of her hits, including "Son of a Preacher Man" and "I Only Want to Be With You."
Thursday, August 14 at 10 p.m.
Hollywood Bowl: Music Under the Stars Narrated by actor-composer John Rubenstein, the program combines vintage photos with footage of recent shows to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the legendary outdoor amphitheater that has attracted performers and audiences since 1922.
Sunday, August 17 at 6:10 p.m.
Johnny Cash Anthology Known to millions as "The Man in Black," singer Johnny Cash is also a prolific songwriter, penning hundreds of songs over the course of his legendary career. This program features footage of Cash performing some of his greatest hits and chronicles important moments in his life, including his early jailhouse performances, his relationship with late wife June Carter Cash and his comeback in the 1990s.
Tuesday, August 19 at 9 p.m.
Steely Dan in Concert In this concert special, the innovative pop-jazz duo performs a mix of their best-known songs, including "Reelin' in the Years" and "Peg," and material from their 2000 release Two Against Nature.
Friday, August 22 at 11 p.m.
