TV12 Movie of the Month
Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn were paired for the first time on screen in the romantic comedy Woman of the Year (1942), airing Saturday, July 19 at 8 p.m. When sportswriter Sam Craig hears famed political columnist Tess Harding discuss her radical opinions on the future of baseball, they wage a battle of words in their respective newspapers, but their hostility quickly disappears when they meet face-to-face. The couple teams up again in Pat and Mike (1952) at 9:40 p.m. This time, Hepburn is star athlete Pat Pemberton, who falls for Tracy's Mike Conovan, a shady sports promoter.
