WHYY invites professionals to be part of the live studio audience on Thursday, May 15 at the WHYY Technology Center, 150 N. 6th Street in Philadelphia, for FISH! Sticks: Keeping the Vision Alive, featuring Stephen Lundin, Ph.D. Through his popular FISH! philosophy, which is based on the success and renowned work atmosphere of Seattle's Pike Place Fish Market, best-selling author Dr. Lundin emphasizes that work can be fun and anyone can improve the quality of work life. In this new presentation, Dr. Lundin will draw on his rich history in business, graduate-level business education and management to show participants how to conquer the universal challenge of getting large-scale change to stick within their organization. He will also outline three commitments that are necessary for making change permanent and will explain what participants can do to maintain and renew what they work so hard to create. This live studio production begins at 1 p.m. and runs until 3 p.m. The cost is $120 per person, and site licenses are available. Shackleton: A Leadership Journey Bennis, who is one of the world's foremost authorities on leadership, and Morrell, author of the New York Times bestseller Shackleton's Way: Leadership Lessons from the Great Antarctic Explorer, will present strategies that managers can use to lead by example, communicate with impact and build morale by creating hope and optimism within their organization. The seminar begins at 11 a.m. and runs until 1:30 p.m. at the WHYY Technology Center. The cost is $50 per person for WHYY members and $70 per person for non-members.
