TV12 Movie of the Month
On the Town (1949) This film adaptation of the hit Broadway musical stars Gene Kelly, Frank Sinatra and Jules Munshin as three sailors who find romance and adventure in the Big Apple while on a 24-hour leave. The trio visits some famous landmarks, including the Statue of Liberty and Rockefeller Center. Filmed on location in New York City, the movie includes such vivacious musical numbers as "New York, New York." Ann Miller, Vera-Ellen and Betty Garrett also star.
