The Love SongsLove is "on" the air this month

Learn how to prepare the perfect dish for your sweetheart during WHYY-TV's Valentine Love Feast on Saturday, February 8 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Once you've eaten, be sure to watch programs filled with love stories and songs:

On Baking Secrets of the CIA, the chefs take the mystery out of baking the perfect "Chocolate Cake," and the staff in America's Test Kitchen presents foolproof recipes for "A Great Chocolate Dessert."

On Christina Cooks, Christina Pirello shares "The Joy of Sexy Food" as she demonstrates how to prepare a romantic meal the whole foods way. Chef Jacques Pépin helps his daughter create a romantic "Valentine Surprise" on Jacques Pépin Celebrates.

Martin Yan explains how to "Wine and Dine" someone with a perfect Chinese meal on Martin Yan's Chinatown. On Flavors of America, Chef Jim Coleman prepares a special "Valentine's Day" meal.

Ciao Italia's Mary Ann Esposito buys "Chocolate" treats from the Perugina Chocolate Museum in Italy. Chef Jonathan Zearfoss whips up an "Aphrodisiacal Menu for Valentine's Day" on Cooking Secrets of the CIA.

Wednesday, February 12
Nine radically different couples -- including actor Charlton Heston and his wife; a renowned animation artist and her husband; and a lesbian couple -- reveal the "secrets" to enjoying a Lasting Love. 11 p.m.

Thursday, February 14
Michael Crawford, Rebecca Luker and other Broadway stars join host Julie Andrews to perform the romantic tunes of Cole Porter, Stephen Sondheim and other composers in My Favorite Broadway: The Love Songs. 10 p.m.

On Egg: The Arts Show artists demonstrate how they express "Love, Longing and Desire" through their work. 11:30 p.m.

Saturday, February 15
Gigi (1958) A wealthy bon vivant (Louis Jourdan) falls in love with a young French girl (Leslie Caron) in this Oscar-winning musical featuring such classic songs as "Thank Heaven for Little Girls." Maurice Chevalier also stars. 8 p.m.

Royal Wedding (1951) Fred Astaire "dances on the ceiling" in this charming musical about a brother and sister dance team who find romance while performing in London. Jane Powell and Peter Lawford also star. 10 p.m.
