LINK: Using breathtaking film footage and touching interviews, NOVA recounts the inspirational story of Sir Ernest Shackleton, who in 1914 set out with a crew aboard The Endurance in hopes of being the first expedition to cross the Antarctic continent. When pack ice crushed their ship, the men were left stranded for nearly two years, but thanks to Shackleton's heroic leadership, all the men survived.

Brent Barrett, Rachel York, Nancy Anderson and Michael Berresse star in the Tony Award-winning revival of this classic show-within-a-show, the first since the musical's Broadway debut in 1948. Following the on and off-stage antics of two feuding romantic duos during a touring production of Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew, the show features such catchy Cole Porter tunes as "Another Op'nin', Another Show" and "Wunderbar."

The actors also join John Barton and Sir Peter Hall, founders of The Royal Shakespeare Company, to examine why the Bard's works continue to capture people's minds and hearts.
