In 1992, WHYY produced "The Sexual Harassment Quiz," a well-received program that helped managers and their employees recognize and prevent sexual harassment in the workplace. On Thursday, February 20, professionals are invited to be part of the live studio audience at the Technology Center as WHYY presents an updated version of "The Sexual Harassment Quiz" featuring attorney Jonathan Segal, a partner in the Employment Services Practice Group of the Philadelphia-based law firm WolfBlock. When it comes to sexual harassment, employees have the right to be free from inappropriate behaviors and the responsibility to speak up if a co-worker makes them uncomfortable. This straightforward program includes 15 workplace scenarios. Individuals will be asked to judge each scenario on the degree to which they believe it to be sexual harassment. Segal, who created and hosted "The Sexual Harassment Quiz" in 1992 and whose practice includes preventive counseling, training and policy development on various employment issues, will review each scenario, discussing both legal and practical considerations. In response to issues raised after September 11, Segal will also discuss other forms of unlawful harassment, including racial, ethnic and religious harassment. Participants will learn:
The one-hour program, which will also be available on videotape and CD-ROM, begins at 1 p.m. at the WHYY Technology Center, 150 N. 6th St. in Philadelphia.
