The Perilous Fight: America's World War II in Color
Martin Sheen narrates this four-hour series examining America's wartime experience through original color images, some never publicly screened before. Through the compelling and colorful images of war, this program offers an intimate and rare portrait of life on the battlefield and the home front. Begins Wednesday, February 12 at 9 p.m.

The White House: In Tune With History
Since the Marine Band first performed on New Year's Day in 1801, the White House has played host to a slew of musicians at various events -- from blues and jazz artists to folk and country musicians. This program profiles some of the music and musicians featured during the past two centuries, and various historians and musicians, including Isaac Stern, Willie Nelson, Mary Chapin Carpenter, recall their personal experiences. Monday, February 17 at 10 p.m.

The Pennsylvania Railroad
This original WHYY production takes viewers on an exciting ride to examine the Pennsylvania Railroad's history -- from the railroad's rise to a giant of industry and transportation in the 1800s to its bankruptcy and closing in 1970. The railroad's history is examines through the photography of William Rau, a 19th-century Pennsylvania photographer who documented comings and goings on the rails and examined the railroads eventual decline. Monday, February 24 at 9 p.m.
