Tony Bennett’s Wonderful World: Live in San Francisco

In this special concert taped before an audience at the Fairmont Hotel on Nob Hill, the Grammy Award-winning musician performs some of his greatest hits and personal favorites, including "Because of You," "Cold, Cold, Heart" and the song that he is best known for, "I Left My Heart in San Francisco." Bennett is also joined by singer k.d. lang for a selection of duets from their new CD A Wonderful World, and he takes viewers on a tour of some of his favorite places in the City by the Bay. Thursday, December 5 at 8 p.m.

Celebrating Mollie Sugden: An "Are You Being Served?" Special

Mollie Sugden, better known to her fans as Mrs. Slocombe, head of Ladies’ Separates and Underwear at Grace Brothers Department Store in the phenomenally popular Britcom Are You Being Served?, joins her Grace Brothers’ colleagues, the show’s creators, and friends to share their favorite moments and memories from the long-running series.

The special combines recollections from cast members John Inman (Mr. Humphries), Wendy Richards (Miss Brahms), Frank Thornton (Caption Peacock), Trevor Bannister (Mr. Lucas), Nicholas Smith (Mr. Rumbold), and Mollie herself; anecdotes; interviews; clips and archival material for a delightful, behind-the-scenes look at the hilarious comedy. Monday, December 9 at 7:30 p.m.

Muhammad: Legacy of a Prophet

Actor André Braugher narrates this program on the man who, in the 7th century, changed world history and continues today to shape the lives of more than 1.2 billion followers.

Through a combination of commentary by Islamic experts, interviews with Muslims in America, and visits to the ancient Arabian sites where Muhammad’s story took place, viewers learn not only who Muhammad was but also what Muslims believe and how their beliefs are increasingly shaping society. Wednesday, December 18 at 10 p.m.
