WHYY teamed up with the city's minor league hockey team to collect new and gently-used books to give to local children.
Under the watchful eye of four of the original signers, Brandon Dougherty proudly displays a replica of the U.S. Constitution signed by filmmaker Ken Burns and (left to right) Andy Keomanivah, Gabrielle Edwards, Briana Mayfield and Tyshaneeh Wilson. These life-size bronze statues are "visiting" the WHYY Technology Center until they move to their permanent home at the National Constitution Center, the first-ever museum honoring and explaining the Constitution, which opens July 4, 2003 on Independence Mall in Philadelphia.
