Mutiny on the Bounty The dramatic story of the 1789 mutiny on the British ship HMS Bounty during a South Pacific expedition is so popular, it has been adapted on film three times. In the Oscar-winning 1935 version at 8 p.m., Charles Laughton plays the tyrannical Captain William Bligh and Clark Gable is Fletcher Christian, the leader of the mutiny against him. The 1962 version at 10:15 p.m., shot on location in Tahiti, stars Marlon Brando as the mutinous Christian. Saturday, November 9 beginning at 8 p.m.
