This locally-produced program examines the remarkable life of Rufus Jones, a Quaker mystic, philosopher and Haverford College professor, who worked to end violence and injustice. Putting faith into action, Jones helped found the American Friends Service Committee during World War I and won a Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to aid Jews suffering under the Nazi regime.

During World War II, many of America's favorite animated characters were "drafted" to drum up support on the home front, entertain troops and comically deal with complicated issues. This documentary by local producer Sharon Baker uses interviews with legendary studio animators, including Chuck Jones (above), and rare film clips to examine the role of animation in the war efforts.
