C.S. Lewis authored 38 children's books, including the famous The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, none of which has ever been out of print. Acclaimed actor Ben Kingsley narrates this program chronicling the renowned author's life, from his childhood in Northern Ireland and the devastating loss of his mother, to the impact of World War I on his writing and beliefs.

The program explores his acclaimed academic career at Great Britain's prestigious Oxford and Cambridge Universities, his personal journey from atheism to Christianity and his first surprising marriage at age 58 to American Joy Davidman.
