A Chef's Table

A new twist on an old barbecue favorite
By Jim Coleman with Maiken Scott

Jim ColemanLabor Day marks the end of the summer beach season, but some of the most beautiful summer days are still ahead! The crisp air, the lower temperatures and the beautiful blue skies are the perfect setting for a barbecue party. If you're tired of regular old hamburgers, try this new twist on the classic recipe!

Feta & Olive Turkey Burger

  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/2 cup kalamata olives, pitted and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano
  • 1 roasted red pepper, chopped
  • Ground black pepper to taste

Preheat the grill for medium high heat. In a large bowl, combine turkey, feta cheese, olives, oregano, red pepper and pepper. Mix together and form into patties.

Lightly oil the grate and place patties on the grill. Cook for 10 to 12 minutes, turning halfway through.
