WHYY encourages women to "Brighten Up and Smile"
Speaking of Women's Health

Are you looking for a fun and relaxing way to learn more about how to become a strong and healthy woman?

WHYY is inviting women across the Delaware Valley to "Brighten Up and Smile" at this year's Speaking of Women's Health® Conference on May 18, 2002 at the Adams Mark Hotel, City Avenue and Monument Road in Philadelphia.

This all-day conference addresses women's health and well-being in an enjoyable and uplifting atmosphere. More than just a health fair, the Speaking of Women's Health® Conference includes full-size gift bags, a continental breakfast and gourmet luncheon, seminars on subjects such as skincare, nutrition and stress reduction presented by national and local experts, health screenings and prize opportunities. Participants will also be eligible to win a fabulous vacation for two at the world famous Canyon Ranch Health Resort!

Each year, WHYY presents its Community Caring Award to people whose contributions to fields of women's health and well-being have enhanced the quality of life for women in the Delaware Valley.

This year's honorees are Susan Sherman, President and CEO of the Independence Foundation; Dr. Marisa Weiss, founder and President of Living Beyond Breast Cancer and breastcancer.org; and Sharon Anderson, Senior Vice President of Performance Improvement and Care Management at Christina Care Health System. WHYY will also award grants to several local organizations that work to promote the health, welfare and safety of women throughout the region.

This event is made possible by WHYY's national partners P&G, Lifetime Television, Wal-Mart and Guidant, presenting partner Tenet Healthcare Foundation and featured partner Canyon Ranch.

All-inclusive tickets to the Speaking of Women's Health® Conference are $35. For more information, call (215) 351-2074 or register online.
