WHYY Late Night
Living only 20 minutes apart, the children are nevertheless locked in separate worlds, rarely having a reason or an opportunity to meet with their peers. The filmmakers bring these children together for the first time, capturing their personal and emotional views on war, peace and just growing up.
Pennsylvania's Train Stations: Restored & Revitalized Many of Pennsylvania's railroad stations have long been converted into apartments, restaurants, homes and businesses. Saved from demolition, they live on under the care and devotion of proprietors who value the histories and mysteries of the railway days. People across the state, including Bob Macchione, who preserves people's histories in documents and artwork at The Frame Station Gallery in the old Berwyn Station in Chester County, share their stories about these historic sites in this unconventional railroad journey. Dementia 13 Director Francis Ford Coppola, best known for his later films The Godfather and Apocalypse Now, tried his hand at horror in this creepy 1963 thriller centered around an Irish family whose members are being violently bumped off one by one. With its sinister plot and weird music, this movie is a must-see for those who want a "late night" fright. |
