PromisesP.O.V. "Promises" Filmmakers B.Z. Goldberg and Justine Shapiro present a portrait of life in present-day Jerusalem in this Academy Award-nominated documentary film, exploring the issues at the heart of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East from the perspectives of seven Israeli and Palestinian children between the ages of 8 and 13.

Living only 20 minutes apart, the children are nevertheless locked in separate worlds, rarely having a reason or an opportunity to meet with their peers. The filmmakers bring these children together for the first time, capturing their personal and emotional views on war, peace and just growing up.
