New specials celebrate musical diversity

R&B 40: A Soul Spectacular
Philadelphia radio legend Jerry "The Geator" Blavat is live in the TV12 studios to present this new special which unites the stars of 1960s & '70s Motown and American Soul music for a once-in-a-lifetime concert event.

Forty years in the making, the concert features performances by Jerry Butler and the Impressions, Ben E. King and the Drifters and Martha Reeves and the Vandellas.
Saturday, March 2 at 8 p.m.

'70s Soul Jam
For the first time, this concert brings together the legendary 1970s soul balladeers, including the Stylistics, Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes and the Delfonics.
Sunday, March 10 at 11 p.m.

The Legendary Liberace
The new special celebrates the life and legacy of the man known as Mr. Showmanship and showcases the pianos, automobiles, costumes, jewelry and other items he collected.

Simon & Garfunkel: The Concert in Central Park
In this historic reunion, the duo performs some of their most beloved songs, including "Homeward Bound," "Bridge Over Troubled Water" and "The Sounds of Silence."

The WhoThe Who Live at Royal Albert Hall
The concert features the legendary band performing their greatest hits and selections from their rock operas Tommy and Quadrophenia with special guest stars.

The Gershwins' "Porgy & Bess"
The New York City Opera performs the 1935 tale of the love affair between an old beggar and a beauty, which includes the classic songs "I Got Plenty o' Nuttin'" and "Summertime."
Thursday, March 21 at 8 p.m.

The Bee Gees Story
The history of the Bee Gees, whose four-decade career is marked by 36 hit records, features interviews with brothers Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb and clips of their performances.
