WHYY for KidsMarch means a mélange of kids' favorites on TV12
Do your kids wish they could see more of their favorite programs on TV12? Well now they can! During the weeks of March 11 and 18, WHYY will air popular kids' programs in special five-episode blocks. Check the listings below for the dates and times of these special kids' blocks. (Note: Some programs may be pre-empted. The regular weekday schedule resumes on March 25.)

This month, Y Kids Club members can use their Y Kids Club MemberCards to receive $3 off admission to the March 16, 5:30 p.m. performance of Sesame Street Live's 'Let's Be Friends' at the First Union Center. The discount will also be honored when using the WHYY MemberCard. You can purchase tickets at the First Union Center Box Office or Ticketmaster outlets. For phone or online orders at ticketmaster.com, use the codeword 'WHYY.' The discount is not valid on VIP seating and cannot be combined with other offers. And, there's a special treat! Y Kids Club members will have the chance to meet some of their favorite characters prior to the show, beginning at 4:30 p.m. at Bullies in the First Union Spectrum -- just look for WHYY when you get there and bring your MemberCard! Be a part of WHYY's 8th annual Reading Rainbow Young Writers and Illustrators Contest! You can put your imagination to work by writing and drawing pictures for your very own book. The contest is open to all kids in kindergarten through third grade. Entries will be judged and the regional winners will be announced in April. Winners of WHYY's contest will then be judged in the national competition. All entries must be received by Friday, March 22. A special first prize for the winners in each grade level this year is four tickets to The Reading Rainbow Musical Review, presented by Theatreworks/USA at the Media Theatre in Media, PA. The show features the original Reading Rainbow theme song and musical adaptations of children's books by a variety of talented writers.
